HAG Update - September
HAG registrations are proceeding very well with 115 applications received up to 21st September from 22 returning players and 93 new ones. Two successful Parents In-Service sessions were held and attended by 29 parents. Further Parent In-Service sessions and Orientation to Coaching sessions are planned during the weekday evenings during the week leading up to the first session on Saturday 20th October.
We have a couple of mums working on shirt allocation to the new players and another working on computer assisted team formation based on age and chosen player requests. Based on the numbers to date and expected we will run 16 teams as in the previous two seasons. We will continue to accept everyone who comes along to fulfil our obligations to cricket in the Gordon District. The final numbers could well exceed the 186 registered in season 2005/6.
I will be overseas from 23/9 until 9/10 and Malcolm Freame (9417 2635 or 0414 743 719) a returning dad will look after the coordination in my absence. He will handle all matters concerning HAG at Beauchamp Park Chatswood and seek my advice if necessary.
