Beau Casson selected for Australian Touring team to West Indies
“I am over the moon and I can’t believe it is real, it will take a while to sink in”
These were the words of Beau Casson this afternoon after learning of his selection in the Australian Touring team to the West Indies last night.

Beau will be going into a camp from May 1 and will leave for the Caribbean on May 11.
Beau’s selection is a fantastic result for a cricketer who is dedicated to his craft, but as importantly is a cricketer who is always keen to give his time to young players. Beau has been involved in the majority of the Gordon Cricket Academy sessions this season and has spoken often to the players about the focus required to succeed and the rounded approach they need to take to their sport.
Beau was also the guest a few weeks ago of Michael Berman to a “Have a go” (Under 5 to 8) session at Chatswood. He spoke with the boys and the parents and told them to make sure they enjoy their cricket.
While Beau’s selection may be a surprise to many, it is not a surprise to the Gordon fraternity who have watched him play for two seasons with the club. (See story posted on website on February 22) http://www.gordoncricket.com/www/153/1001127/displayarticle/1095564.html
While Beau isn’t as yet a Test player, the Gordon players who played for Australia while they were playing for Gordon were:
Charlie Kelleway, Victor Trumper, Charlie Macartney, Johnny Taylor, Bert Oldfield, Neil Harvey, Ray Robinson, Brian Taber, Trevor Chappell, Ian Davis and Phil Emery.
There have also been many who have played for Australia before or after their careers with Gordon, such as Matt Nicholson who played a successful Test match while in the west, however Beau can be very proud of joining a list like this one.
