Stags Xmas Party - 13th December
Change of venue due to lack of numbers: Great Northern Hotel
It is that time of year again, when the festivities begin, shop fronts are highly decorated, office Christmas parties hit the front pages of the Herald and Gordon supporters gather for the gala event on the calendar – The Stags Xmas Party.
Just like last year, this year’s party is open to everyone in the greater Gordon family. Due to the lack of numbers, the location has changed to the Great Northern Hotel.
Where: Great Northern Hotel - We will be allocated space outside in the Beer Garden.
When: Saturday 13th December
Time: 7pm onwards
Dress: No theme - Just enough to get yourself into the Hotel but add some Xmas cheer!!
Tickets: Nothing - Just look after yourself for the evening

With Dylan Connell re-installed as Club Captain, the social committee has thousands of ideas to put into place. This season the social committee will provide the Gordon community with many highlights. It is your chance to get involved on and off the field with this wonderful club. With planning for the first events already well underway, the 2008/09 season will be a cracker. You can find out all about the social events by checking out the articles below. Look out for the Social Committee icon on the front page for all the latest information and updates.
This year we are planning on returning to our traditional home of the Chatswood Oval club rooms after matches. We will have a more organised bar (providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) and the BBQ will be running regularly. After matches we expect all club members to make an effort to return to Chatswood Oval and catch up on the day's play over a few drinks and a bite to eat.
The major events this year and their dates are listed below. It is important that all club members make an effort to support these events. They will be loads of fun!!
Saturday 11th October – Back to Chatswood night, Chatswood Oval Club rooms
Saturday 8th November – Poker Night - POSTPONED DUE TO T20 COMP
Saturday 13th December – Xmas Party, Great Northern Hotel
Plus: After Christmas events including a Golf Day, Barefoot Bowling, Trivia Night, Stag Function, End of Season Party and Awards Night.
In addition to these evenings, in order to support the Gordon Rugby Club, we have organised evenings where the Chatswood Oval club rooms will be closed and everyone will head up the Gordon Club (just across the road). One last thing! There will be drinks on every Thursday night after training with BBQ's to be held throughout the season. |
