Last Player of the year update.
This is the final update for the Player of the Year, with the winner announced at the club's Presentation Night at the end of the season.
Little has changed over the past two rounds with one major exception.
(Dylan Connell)
The top three place getters from the last update hold their spots after more solid performances against ND's and Penrith. Ed Zelma retains his position at the top a clear leader from club captain John O'Neill-Fuller and Nick Dowsley.
In 4th place with a bullet from 29th previously is Dylan Connell with two great match winning five wicket hauls in first grade. He took 5 for 20 off 11 overs against ND's and followed this with 5 for 29 against Penrith off 11.5 overs. In between he took 3 wickets in 2nd grade.
What's interesting about this is that Dylan was one of the instigators to get the point system changed earlier in the year. He must have known something about his future form. The question is as he left his run too late.
If one considers a century or 5 wicket haul receives 100 bonus points, this compeitition is far from over and we look forward to many exceptional individual performances over the next three rounds as our teams push towards the semis and a top 5 finish in the club championship.
