First Update of Player of the year (after Round 4)
The prestigious Player of the Year award is underway again and at the end of Round 4, club captain John O'Neill-Fuller is the leader. His superb 128 against Manly has taken him to a deserved lead, this follows 88 in Round 1 against Easts and has earnt him promotion to 1st Grade for Round 5.
(JOF playing a classic cover drive against Manly)
Following JOF is the ever consistent Mitchell Kleem who has scored 233 runs in 4 innings and promotion to 2nd Grade. Newcomer Craig Simmons is in 3rd place following his 143 against Blacktown in Round 2.
The bowlers are represented in the top 10 by allrounders Ed Zelma, Matt Michael and Richie Paul, all with solid early season performances. It is easy too see why 2nds are leading the club in wins at the moment with 4 players in the top 10.
It is also pleasing to see Stuart Slocombe in 8th position after his hard pre-season work and plenty of runs at the start of the season.
(Mitchell Kleem)
