Gordon Practices move to Macquarie Sports Field.

Due to the generosity of the Macquarie University Sports Association (MUSA) and the Macquarie University Cricket Club (MUCC), our grade teams will be practicing at the Macquarie cricket fields during the re-surfacing of Chatswood Oval.

It is proposed that Chatswood will be out of action until at least January and the arrangements for our practices starting on Tuesday 4th October will be as follows:

Tuesday nights:

Each Tuesday we will share the three turf and two hard wickets on the main oval at Macquarie. As our First and second grade teams are practicing at the SCG prior to daylight saving, it is proposed our 3rd, 4th, 5th and Colts teams will practice in a joint session with the Macquarie players. First and second graders who wish to participate in the Tuesday sessions are of course welcome.

These sessions will commence from 4pm and go until dark.

Thursday nights:

Each Thursday all Gordon grade teams will practice separate to the Macquarie teams in a specially prepared “centre wicket” net area on the Gwilliam Oval near to the car park.

These sessions will also start at 4pm and will continue with the assistance of lights (similar to the power at Chatswood).

The facilities provided by MUSA are much appreciated by the Gordon Club and we look forward to showing our hosts the gratitude for their help.

Gordon coaches will also be providing coaching assistance to MUCC players during our Tuesday joint sessions.

The practice facilities are within the Macquarie Uni Sports Fields and these can be entered from the corner of Talavera and Culloden Road Marsfield.
