 PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD
This is the most prestigious award in the Club. Points are awarded for a variety of achievements and aggregated to determine the ultimate winner.
This award is confined to all preliminary Grade matches. The winner will receive a perpetual trophy and a prize to be determined by the Committee.
Points are allocated as follows:
- 1 point for every run scored. An additional bonus of 50 points for every half-century and 100 points for each century scored.
- 15 points per wicket plus a bonus of 50 points for four wickets in an innings and 100 points for a six or more wickets in a match.
- 10 points per catch
- 10 points for a run-out (sole responsibility) or 5 points each for "assist" run-outs
- 25 points for every player in a winning side
- 10 points for a stumping
