James Packman reaches 5000 club runs and 3500 in first grade

With the scores of 72 on Saturday against Blacktown and 69 not out on Sunday against Campbelltown, James Packman has moved to 5113 runs for the club in all grades and 3,510 runs in first grade.

This achievement is one of the highest honours for a batsman at Gordon and he now moves to 11th overall in runs in first grade in the 102 year history of the club and 21st overall for runs in all grades.

The record has come 'out of the blue' for James with scores of 51, 54 not out , 137, 72 and 69 not out over the last few weeks.

James now has 605 runs for the season (First grade record 824) and is approaching his best season of 730 in 2002-03.

After playing two 5th grade games in 96-97, James started his first full season in 1997-98 and made his first grade debut in the 2000-01 season. He also made his first class debut in the 2004/05 season.

James also joins a group of only eleven players who have scored 8 centuries for the club. James also has 27 half centuries.

Two other current players who have reached the mark of 8 centuries are Damon Livermore who scored his 8th century against Wests in November and incredibly Jeremy Cashman who has now scored 10 centuries for the club (including one in Poidevin Gray) with his 118 against Blacktown last weekend.
