Members, friends and supporters of the GDCC. As many of you will know by now, club stalwart Edward Howitt Jnr has reached a major milestone by taking his 500th wicket for Gordon in the round 3 match against Easts. However, this is only half of the equation. Last year, Ed reached 5,000 runs for the club. These achievements can not be overstated. Ed is only the 3rd player in over 100 years to have achieved this milestone. Congratulations Ed!!!
To celebrate this significant achievement (the 500 wicket/ 5,000 run double) our Club invites you all to join us at the Orchard Tavern on Saturday 3rd December to Toast and Roast Hoppa’s stellar career with the Stags.
Just a few short weeks away, this event, which starts at 7pm after the end of the Wests match, is set to be a great Club night with many past and present players and officials already lining up for the opportunity to share their on- and off-field memories of Ed, Ward, Hoppa, Captain Grumpy, Le Babe...
Entry is free and we encourage everyone to enjoy the Orchard’s formidable bar and dining options, before the formalities of the evening begin at 8pm.
