Round 3 - Gordon vs St George
Strolling into Killara Oval on an overcast morning full of confidence after the first round win, the stags unfortunately loss the toss with St George electing to bat first on another flat wicket.
Our opening bowlers, Glenn Winsor and Kyle Townsend, got Gordon off to a good start with pressure built from both ends. This led the way for Jordan Hayes to come on and rip through the top order of St George having taken 3 wickets in his first 4 overs, leaving the opposition 3 for 41. Just as the game was slipping through Gordon’s grasp, Ethan Garrett and Glenn Winsor came on and took vital wickets to pull Gordon back in command.
What a day for Glenn Winsor, 3 wickets and 68 runs
Some tight and accurate bowling from Naba Haider and new spells from Glenn Winsor and Ethan Garrett lead to regular wickets being taken during the middle overs.
